Oh, I've been Pinterest & blog stalking this morning for fantastic ideas to incorporate with our upcoming ocean unit. My goal is integrate our learning to get the biggest bang for my buck and build my kiddos schema along the way too. Will I have the time or energy to incorporate all the fabulous teaching ideas? We shall see.
I bought Deanna Jump's ocean unit last summer, anticipating this spring, but I realized some of the word work activities are too simple for my kiddos. The little submarine theme spoke to me so much I had to make my own clip art subs that will fit more than just a CVC word. I've never created clip art before and for the first time I'm pretty pleased with myself. Here's a little peak at the first one. I made this in black and white too. My plan is the subs will be used as word building mats during Daily 5.
I'm off to create some more!!!
